History of the perfume, The ancient Greeks – a summary

The making of oil as a base for perfume (together with herbs) has started in ancient Egypt. Much like other important inventions and innovations in the history of mankind – the perfume has been discovered accidently while burning an offering to the ancient gods, thousands of years ago.
Soon after discovering the simple fact that certain grows have more pleasant scent that others, they started mashing them up in oil to receive a long lasting outcome. They had plenty of knowledge about oil, since they used to rub it on their corpses in order to maintain a “healthy look” when they are deceased.
The Greeks had the massage and bath oil taken from the Egyptians, but found the oil to be too messy. The actual perfume wearing process of that time was very weary and even tiredsom. You had to wash before you do it, after you do it, and while you are at it, you wouldn’t be able to come in physical contact. The greeks have felt that oil based perfumes are not going to cut it. Therefore, the Greeks invented perfume based on water instead of oil. Because nobody bought the perfume, they stopped making perfume.
In the 12th century BC they went yet again for the journey of perfumery. Because people then were fragrance than even before, now people actually bought the perfume. The perfume was then still in watertight boxes. People felt that these very awkward boxes, because when the lid was open, and the box fell, everything fell on the ground. Therefore, the Greeks invented glass bottles for storing perfume.
Perfume has a history of thousands of years and originated in Egypt. In the early Egyptians burned the herb sprigs and sprigs of flowers as offerings to the gods. Sacrifices that were odor. The Egyptians believed that the gods were quiet in the smells, and people should not do evil.
