Here are some initial predictions about perfumes, that are based obviously on my experience and expertise, and. being honest on a lot of common sense.
People thing the perfume world is so trendy and always changes by 180 degrees every time a new scent is released into ecosystem. That is obviously not true. I had to sort down my list from 2010 to 2011 by very minor changes, a few formulas have changed and very few new fragrances has managed to get into my list. Some of the nicest best sellers are pretty good, but not good enough to be a part of my all time favorites.
I suppose the good ones that has some age, reputation and ever-green popularity will continue to dominate my list… and occupy around 85% of the best sellers list.
